Other Facility Policies

Fitness Center Policies

    1. All workout clothing should be modest; shirts and tennis shoes are required at all times.  Sandals may be permitted only with a recommendation from your doctor, no exceptions.
    2. Store clothing, gym bags, and cell phones in a locked locker.  The YMCA is not responsible for personal items left unattended.
    3. Fitness center members must be age 13 years or older to use the equipment. Children age 12 must be attend a youth fitness center orientation prior to working our and have an adult accompany them at all times. Children under age 12 are not allowed in the fitness center.
    4. As a courtesy to all members, please wide down equipment pads after use.
    5. Be considerate and let other members workout while you are resting.
    6. Behavior should be mature, responsible, adn in line with the YMCA core values.  The fitness center is for exercising only.  Hold meetings or extended social conversations in the lobby.
    7. please place used towels in bins located throughout the YMCA.

 

Pool Policies

    1. Please walk on the pool deck
    2. Artificial flotation devices are not allowed.
    3. Hanging/sitting on lane lines is prohibited.
    4. Dunking is not allowed.  Please no one on a person’s shoulders.
    5. Please do not jump/dive from sides of the pool, you can jump off the diving boards
    6. Infants and toddlers who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper
    7. YMCA pool is a family friendly environment only appropriate swim suits are allowed no string bikinis, no street clothes or jeans/denim.
    8. Shower before entering pool

 

Diving Board

    1. Only one bounce from the diving boards
    2. When jumping off the boards, the diver must face the water, no facing the board and jumping backwards.  No back flips!

 

Pool Closing Procedure

    1. In the event of a fecal accident the pool will close up to 2 hours depending upon lifeguards’ judgment. 
    2. Bad Weather Policy-pool will close at the first sign of lightning and thunder until 30 minutes after the last sighting – or if the lifeguards cannot see the bottom of the pool because the rain is too heavy.
